I am so excited to welcome my beautiful little girl, Elia Harper (pronounced Uh-LEE-Ah). She was born July 23rd at 9:30 pm. Elia was 7lbs 11ounces and was 21 inches long! I wanted to share my birth story with you because I know many of you are currently pregnant or plan to be at some point and had lots of questions. I'm giving you a heads up now, I don't hold back on the details! :) Here we go... It was July 22nd and I had just come home from the Taste of River North. My due date was the ... [ Read More ]
The Truth about the 2nd Trimester (and some products I live by)
Let me set the stage for you. As I sit here writing this post, I'm laying in bed propped up by 4 pillows. I'm in my underwear (which are starting to become a little tight) and a once baggy pajama shirt that is now a little snug around my midsection. I have intense back pain because I had a meeting this morning that went a little longer than planned (I had to sit for a consecutive two hours). My Kohler Babymoon

It really is like living in a ... [ Read More ]
I’ve got a bun in the oven (and I’m not even cooking)!
Hey guys! I know it's been a while, but I've been cooking up something pretty cool these past three months. Surprise! I'm pregnant :). Truth be told, this has literally been one of the most difficult times of my entire life. As I sit here now, a little over 12 weeks pregnant, I'm finally able to reflect back over the last few months with a smile... Rewind back to week 6. I could barely get out of bed. I kept reading that it was going to get better. They told me soon enough I'd feel better ... [ Read More ]
