Bottom line, I’ve had quite a few weeks of overeating. I never knew getting engaged would mean gaining 5 lbs, but embarrassingly, it happened. It seems like lately everyone wants to send me chocolate, buy me dinner or shower me with all my favorite food items. While it’s been fun (and I’m totally grateful for all the love), I feel awful inside and I’m determined to jumpstart my wedding diet with a week of completely clean, raw, vegan eating.
I’ve decided to start Tuesday, September 2nd (one week from today) and I want you guys to join me on this 5 day journey! Since my will power has started to go down the drain recently, I’ve decided to use Juice RX exclusively and order all my meals and snacks through them.
Juice RX is hands down the most amazing vegan food and juice company I’ve ever come across. It’s founded by this cool guy, Dean Kasal, who was diagnosed with the medically “incurable”, Ulcerative Colitis. By simply switching to a vegan lifestyle and removing processed foods, Dean literally beat the disease and has never felt better. If this was the only success story I ever heard, I may not believe it, but those of you who have been following me for a while know that my dad has also reversed many diseases from changing to a vegan diet.
I first heard of Juice RX a few weeks ago when my friend decided to do one of their juice cleanses. I’m self admittedly not a big endorser of those cleanses due to the high sugar count, but Juice RX has a couple of different options with minimal sugar. When I went online to check out the cleanse for myself, I noticed they recently started shipping raw vegan food as well. I decided to order their “Fettucini”with cashew cream and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup just for fun. At an average price of about $10 per serving, I couldn’t really lose.
I swear to you, both of the dishes were so incredibly delicious, I completely forgot they were raw and vegan. With food that delicious, I decided that I should bookend my 3 day juice cleanse with some of their meals. I will be starting my cleanse off with one days of food from Food RX, then do my 3 day juice cleanse and then finish the week off with one more day of their incredible Vegan food.
While I know this will be challenging for me, I know it will be much easier since I’ll be able to have such delicious food and drinks.
If you want to join me in this challenge (even if it’s only for part of it) you can order your food and juices from Juice RX also. By clicking here, you can save $10 off your order $100 order! If anything, at least try out that Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. It’s honestly epic and will change your mentality on vegan food completely.
So who is going help me kick start my wedding weight loss and join me in this fun and healthy challenge? Make sure to comment below or post on my Facebook page so I know you’re involved!
Love always,
Erica

Hi! I checked out their website, it looks so awesome! I live in Albany though and wish they delivered outside the Chicago area! I was reading about your dad and am so inspired!! THat is so awesome! I am actually trying to heal from Crohns Disease (have had it for 15 years and have been on many many heavy meds over the years and recently developed autoimmune hepatitis from Humira). Instead of trying new infusion they want to put me on, I am seeing a nutritionist and have begun gluten free yeast free dairy free, and no animal protein diet. I am hopeful this will help and am so appreciative of your inspiring posts about vegan foods. Your blog is amazing, full of wonderful recipes, health education, and best part is its fun to read! Congrats on your engagement, enjoy every moment, it is such a special time!
WLAS,
Tanya Soroko

Hi Tanya! First off, thank you for all the amazing compliments. I’m so sorry to hear about your Crohns.:(. It sounds like you are doing all the right things and taking care of your body.
The company, Juice RX, does deliver outside of Chicago and you should totally try them. I think you would love it!
