What if I told you that you could have restaurant quality spicy mayo in just 3 minutes with only 3 ingredients?!
Well, today, in part II of my Sushi Basics blog series, I am going to show you how simple it is to make your very own spicy mayo right in your own kitchen! I don’t know about you, but I like this spicy condiment on almost all of my rolls. I know it’s not the healthiest, but even just a little bit can take a roll from good to great.
Sushi Basics: Spicy Mayo
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Kewpie Mayonnaise if you don’t want to order it online and can’t find it in stores, regular Hellman’s will work
- 1 tsp Sriracha Sauce
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients and mix well. Use right away or store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a month.
It’s really that simple! Can you believe these sushi restaurants charge you an extra $2 for this? As I’ve already mentioned, this isn’t the healthiest thing you can add to your sushi, but there is a silver lining! Did you now that the spicy Sriracha in the sauce will speed your metabolism up? Pretty cool…
Love always,
Erica
