I’ve been working so hard at getting more protein into my diet. Considering I LOVE carb-forward meals, finding ways to sneak protein in hasn’t been the easiest for me.
Until now.
My latest one-pot creation makes getting your protein in easy and leaves you with one of the greatest meals you’ve ever taken. Behold my Ham & Brie Protein Pasta. essays services reviews.com
The star of the show here is the Smithfield® Anytime Favorites® diced ham. Not only is it pre-cooked, pre-diced and easy to throwing to so many things! I always have it on hand to toss into salads, omelets or even on top of pizza! It’s DELICIOUS and packed with 10 grams of protein in just 2 oz (and only ONE WW point)!
They also have multiple flavors and cut options in addition like slices and steaks! You can find them near the packaged meat section of your local grocery store.
With the holidays coming up, this is a great dish to serve at family functions. It’s so indulgent, no one will know it’s protein packed and much better for you. AND you’ll have the added bonus of keeping your diet in check. It’s a win-win for everyone.
It starts with choosing a red lentil pasta with only ONE ingredient (red lentils).
Boil the water, add lots of salt and boil your pasta according to the package. Strain and set aside.
To that same pot, add a spray of oil and Smithfield Anytime Favorites Diced Ham. Cook until edges start to become brown. Remove from pan.
In the same pot, add in 1/2 tablespoon of flour and 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Cook until a medium brown roux is formed. Then whisk in skim milk. Turn off heat and add shredded Swiss or gruyere cheese. Add ham into the cheese sauce, then stir in some fresh or frozen green peas and cooked pasta
Serve and top with remaining ham.

This looks DELISH! I made red lentil pasta for the first time last night and LOVED it! My whole family did AND I made sure to read the ingredient (not ingredientS) to my husband. I like that you point out here it’s JUST ONE ingredient!!!
