This year, I hosted my first Thanksgiving! With Dan and I being in different states than our families, we have always traveled to one of them to celebrate. This year, we decided to start a tradition of our own and gather around our dining table right here in Chicago.
I wasn’t worried about the meal itself (I live to cook), but I’ve been trying to think of what to do with all these leftovers. I thought it could be fun to “get ahead of the game” and use some of the Thanksgiving meal as part of my appetizer (or just make this recipe the next day).
I love a good toast and there is nothing better than making it on Brownberry Oatnut. We always have a loaf on hand and it’s the perfect way to use it!
Throwing these together was incredibly simple and they turned out savory and delicious. I really think they’re a fun twist on switching up your leftovers!
Let me know how you top your Brownberry Oatnut bread!
