There’s nothing I love more that hanging with my hubby on Sundays, watching the football games and eating lots of yummy game-day eats! Ok, well…the second half of that statement is true.
Truthfully, I’m not a huge football fan, but the best part of the season for me is getting creative in the kitchen and slimming down typical “Football Sunday” foods and tricking my husband into thinking he’s eating the real thing!
My latest creation are these Ham & Cheese Hot Pockets that I made using a 2-ingredeint dough AND cooked them in the air fryer (although you could also bake them) with no oil or added fat from deep frying. Not only do these take about 20 minutes from start to finish, they are absolutely delicious.
The star of this recipe is this Honey Ham I found in the refrigerator section of my grocery store. It’s from a brand called Prime Fresh and I love it because it’s got this incredible resealable package that keeps your deli meats fresh for SO much longer (yay no food waste). Not only does it last longer, the taste is some of the best I’ve had. So fresh! A little more research into the brand and I found that they are the fastest growing lunch brand meat in the United States. Crazy!
Prime Fresh is also doing this AWESOME Tailgate Sweepstakes where you can win $5,000. Just head to www.PrimeFreshDeli.com/sweeps to enter. The sweepstakes is going on from September 23 through November 4.
If you don’t have an air fryer, you could totally bake these at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes! I suggest cooking them on a lifted baking rack so the heat can circulate.
What toppings should I stuff into these beauties next?!

- On the smaller two rectangles, place desired amount of ham and cheese in the hot pockets. Make sure to leave space around the edges. Place the larger rectangle on top and seal.
- Spray the bottom of your air fryer with olive oil spray. Brush your hot pocket on both sides with the egg wash mixture so it get’s nice and golden.
- Place in air fryer for 9 minutes at 370 degrees. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes until golden on both sides. Bite into these beauties and enjoy!
Love always,
Erica
