For me, the Holidays are all about spending that extra time with loved ones. Unfortunately, the holidays is also the busiest season of the year for me and admittedly, it is not always the easiest to find balance. Trying to figure out how to juggle all the mom stuff and figuring out how to take full advantage of the holiday season with my blog is a lot to handle.
Since Elia has started to become more interested in food and cooking, I decided I would combine my two worlds together and let her start helping me in the kitchen!
Now, as we know, Pinterest-worthy projects and I do not always see eye to eye, especially where the holidays are concerned. However, I thought I’d give it a go with this pizza snowman. Before I knew it, I was back on Peapod and ordering every ingredient I needed and had it delivered straight to my door. Thank goodness for this website, seriously! Peapod saves me time and money which is more important than ever during the Holidays!
Divide the pizza dough into 3 sizes; small, medium, and large.
Then roll them into flat connecting circles (like a snowman) and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Once taken out of the oven, spread sauce evenly across all parts of the snowman. Then, sprinkle cheese to cover.
Add two whole olives for the eyes and add the sliced olives for a mouth. Then, cut the pepper into the perfect nose shape, place pepperonis as the buttons and tie a scallion to make a scarf.
Place Frosty (yes, I named him) back in the oven and voila! A cute and delicious pizza to make with your little chef this holiday season!
The best part was Elia could really help with most of the steps of this recipe. It warmed my heart to watch her get into something I love to do and do something to get us into the holiday spirit. It doesn’t hurt too that it turned out delicious and absolutely adorable, don’t ya think?!
