In a few weeks, one of my closest friends, Kelly from Eat Travel Rock is moving to LA. While the thought of her not being in the same city as me literally makes my stomach hurt, I had to face reality and help put together the perfect girls night to send her off.
Since we’ve both currently live in the same building, we decided it would be fun to host a fun night with our girlfriends in our building, Parc Huron, since it literally has some of the most incredible amenities in the city. Our guest list included Brett from Her Tasty Life, Erin from 312 Food and Tiffany from Tiffany Louise.
If it’s one thing I LOVE to do, it’s throw a girls night. I’m notorious for putting them together and I thought it would be fun to share my 3 tips to making sure your girls night is one to remember!
#1 Have a fun activity that the night is centered around.
Whenever you’re throwing a fun night for your friends, it’s important to have an activity so people aren’t just sitting around the entire time. You want to really have a theme to your night! I think an activity can also help break the ice and get your friends chatting which will lead to a much more fun and robust conversation throughout the night.
For our girls night, Kelly and I thought it would be fun to use our Spa in Parc Huron. We have an amazing HUGE jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. It was the perfect thing to do to help us all unwind and relax after a hectic week!
#2 Have amazing FOOD!
Since our girls night was filled with foodies, we knew we had to step up our food game. We decided to order from Bernie’s Lunch & Supper since it’s only a few blocks away from Parc Huron.
The spread was HUGE and totally delicious. We ordered everything from chicken to paella to kale salad! After we ate, I think we were all ready to get out of our bathing suit and back into some comfy clothes!
Have to get the shot before we eat…
#3 End your night right and know your guests!
Whenever your planning a girls night, it’s important for you to take a check-list of who is coming and what they would really enjoy. Since my girls spend 12-14 hour days hustlin’ their booties off, Kelly and I thought it would be fun to end our fun night with a relaxing movie. In the past, I’ve also done a fun board game, watched a mutual TV show or had “make your own dessert” portion of the night.
We’re lucky to live at Parc Huron because they actually have a cool movie theater in the building that we were able to use! The seats are seriously so comfy. I’d be lying if I said we made it through the whole movie before we all started to fall asleep in these chairs!
And as always with these girls, FOOD! Can’t forget the popcorn! 🙂

Love always,

Very timely article, Eric, as I’ll be hosting Ladie’s Night In this coming Friday. Our theme is chocolate, which each person is asked to bring an appetizer that includes chocolate as an ingredient. A little bit more difficult then a dessert! I can’t wait to see the creativity of the ladies. Prizes for “Best of Show” and also “Tastiest Combo”.
