I have an absolute obsession with burrata. If you haven’t had it, it’s basically mozzarella cheese stuffed with cream. It is SO delicious and I could honestly eat it every single day.
Most of the time, if you order burrata at a restaurant, it comes simply with some toast points. I wanted to jazz it up a little bit, so I decided to create a few different types of fun toasts to eat with the burrata.
Here are the 4 kinds I chose:
-Maple Bacon Brussels Sprout
-Strawberry Honey Pistachio
-Spicy Roasted Tomato
-Balsamic Pesto
Not only are these super yummy, they are simply gorgeous (and great for a party!)
A Variety of Burrata Toasts
Ingredients
- Burrata you can buy it at almost any grocery store
- 1 loaf Artisinal Crusty Bread sliced and grilled
- Strawberries thinly sliced
- Honey
- Pistachios roughly chopped
- Brussels Sprouts roasted in the oven and shredded
- Crispy Bacon
- Maple Syrup
- Hot Chili Oil
- Roasted Cherry Tomatoes halved
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Pesto
Instructions
Maple Bacon Brussels Sprout
- Cook your bacon until crispy. Remove from heat and dab with a paper towel. Cut your bacon into bits, and toss back into the saucepan. Add maple syrup and coat well. Now, add your cooked, shredded brussels sprouts. Mix until heated through and coated evenly. Spread the burrata on the bread and top with brussels mixture.
Strawberry Honey Pistachio
- Lay your thinly sliced strawberries on the burrata toast, sprinkle with pistachios, and drizzle honey on top.
Spicy Roasted Tomato
- Roast your cherry tomatoes with a little olive oil in the oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes (or until they are soft.) Place your roasted cherry tomatoes on your burrata and coat with the hot chili oil.
Balsamic Pesto
- Scoop your pesto on top of the burrata cheese and drizzle balsamic vinegar over the top.
See? It’s as easy as 1,2,3! These burrata toasts are perfect to make for parties, since the only work they really require is assembly. You have got to try these out, and let me know which one is your favorite!
Love,
Erica
