A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of previewing Daiya’s new line of frozen dairy-free cheesecakes at a launch event in Chicago. I know what you’re probably thinking, “How could a dairy-free cheesecake possibly taste good?” I mean lets be real, anything that is dairy-free, gluten-free AND soy-free has to taste like cardboard right?

As you can tell from my reaction, I thought they were actually pretty awesome. Here is my review on each of the 4 kinds:
New York Style: Simple, classic and honestly pretty darn delicious. This one is the perfect canvas for just about anything you’d want to do with it. My advice? Top it with fresh strawberry sauce and call it a day. Yum!
Key Lime: Normally I’m not a huge key lime fan, but this flavor was actually a bit sweeter and more subtle than the overly tart version I’m used to. To be honest, it’s probably the best tasting of all the flavors
Chocolate: This is the one I was most excited about, but wasn’t my favorite of the four. It tasted more like a chocolate mouse than a cheesecake (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing).
Strawberry: Wow was this delicious! It’s sweet, tangy and creamy flavor is sure to leave you super satisfied. Top this with a dark chocolate drizzle and pair it with some bubbly and you’ll have yourself a perfect little date night.
The verdict? Whether you’re dairy-free or a dairy freak, check out the new Daiya line of Cheesecakes. You surely wont’ be disappointed!
