Being a food blogger and avid instagrammer (follow me!), there are certain things I do throughout my daily life that I’ve come to realize may not be so normal. Since the majority of my close friends are also in this foodie world I didn’t think twice about some of my strange behaviors.
In honor of that, here are 10 things only we food bloggers and instagrammers understand…
1) Standing on top of chairs in a restaurant is totally normal. Hey…anything for the insta shot.
2) You often eat cold food and despite that, eating it still makes you giddy inside.
3) If someone doesn’t want to share every dish with you, you get this overwhelming feeling that you can no longer be friends.
4) Having more than one dinner in a night occurs often.
5) When you go out to eat with anyone in a professional setting, you get anxiety because you won’t be able to take photos.
6) Food is your super model and good lighting is EVERYTHING.
7) Deciding on a place to eat with your other blogger friends is almost as difficult as deciding on who your life partner will be.
8) If someone take a bite of the food before you’ve gotten a good photo, you get an overwhelming feeling of rage.
9) No matter how hungry you are, you can’t really enjoy a meal or an event until you’ve taken the perfect photo.
10) Your friends will always ask you where they should go eat even though you have an entire blog or Instagram on the subject!
HAHAHA I just laughed out loud through this ENTIRE thing! It’s perfect.
So glad I got to see you this weekend! This summer = WAY more Lauren + Erica time. For sure 🙂
Too funny, and so true.

You nailed it! Too funny ;>)
I’m guilty of most of these! Don’t forget this one…it drives my friends crazy: waiting for the table with perfect natural lighting to become available, despite there being several other open tables in the restaurant.
Thank you for a much-needed laugh. I agree that I can never enjoy a meal until the photos are completed. It does give us a great excuse to stand on chairs – no drinks required (but always appreciated).
