Hola! If you couldn’t tell from all my Instagram and Facebook posts, I just spent the most incredible weekend in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico!
Between the food, friends and sun…this weekend couldn’t have been more special. I had friends fly in from Chicago, Florida, Sweden, Canada, NYC, Philly and Boston. It made me feel so amazing to see such a wonderful mix of my friends come together and celebrate me.
We did everything you could want to do during a bachelorette party. While some of what happened during #PlayaDelErica will stay in #PlayaDelErica, here are a few photos that I can share…
When we arrived, my beautiful sister (and Maid of Honor), Melissa, had the room set up perfectly! She bought each girl a beach towel and had their name embrodiered in it for the weekend. She also created a full itinerary, had tons of fun games and stocked the room with wine, booze and flowers.
That night we headed out to Yaxche for a Maya feast! The food was incredible and the drinks were even better. The restaurant even finished out the meal with a bachelorette appropriate dessert (see center photo below).
Saturday during the day we headed to Kool Club in Playa and it was so much fun! My friends had arranged a couple of day beds and some bottles of champagne to celebrate. I even met another bride-to-be and we had a little bit too much fun on the beach! The food at Kool Club was incredible. We ate some of the most unbelievable sushi, guacamole, ceviche and more!Saturday night was one of the most fun nights of all because my friends arranged for a STRIPPER to come to our Villa. In all 29 years of my life, I have never seen one, so this was totally a new experience for me. Those pictures are totally X-Rated, so those won’t make the blog, but I will share a photo of me and my friends with him after his show. That night we went to dinner at the coolest place. It was called Alux and it was in a cave! I’ve never been to a cooler restaurant in my life!
Sunday had to be my favorite day of the trip! Our group took a cab ride up to the city of Tulum. We saw the ruins in the morning and then spent the most magical afternoon on the beach and in the water. This is one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I can’t wait to go back to spend some more time there!
And of course…this magical weekend wouldn’t have been complete without my favorite breakfast dish, chilaquiles (check out the photo up top).
A special thanks to the most amazing sister and Maid of Honor, Melissa (melisfit.com)for making this entire weekend possible. I feel so blessed to have her as my best friend. She went way above and beyond and planned the most incredible Bachelorette party I could have ever dreamed of.
Next stop…the alter!
Love always,
Erica

Looks super sweet! Super fun! I’m looking to take my friend, (I’m the maid of honor) away for her bachelorette. Tulum is really standing out. Really want to focus on great food, beautiful resort, great night light and a great beach!
How was Tulum for all of those things? Do you have any recommendations on where to go, what to do and as a bride were you satisfied with Tulum?
