I’ve had such a wonderful year writing Everything Erica! Between finally figuring out how to leave my career in Real Estate to work on this full-time and all the incredible opportunities I’ve been afforded, I feel truly lucky.
Since there has been so many yummy dishes that have come out of my blog this year, I thought it might be fun to go through my site stats and pull out the 10 most popular recipes of 2014!
Here we go…
#10 – Drunken Caramelized Brussels Sprouts: Since brussels sprouts is one of the most popular vegetables of the year, this comes as no surprise to me! I’m totally obsessed with this recipe and have made it almost every week! It’s easy, delicious and a super crowd pleaser.
#9-Homemade Nutella: Early on in 2014, I got together with my friend Jess and we were determined to make our own homemade version of our favorite hazelnut topper. Not only did we succeed, but our recipe was nearly perfect. I won’t be surprised if this one stays on top of the list for 2015 too.
#8- Chicken Francese: I love easy Italian dinners, and this one takes the cake! Not only is it truly authentic tasting, it’s dairy free, so all my lactose-readers flocked to this recipe.
#7-Guilt-free Peanut Butter and Chocolate Balls: Thank god for my girl, Tiffany for sharing this recipe with me. This sweet treat has been satisfying my cravings for dessert all year (without all the extra fat and calories).
#6-Buffalo Chicken Lasagna: In my opinion, this is one of my most inventive recipes this year! The dish came to me in a dream (yes I dream about food) and I woke up the next day and knew I had to make it. It’s everything you love about buffalo wings with the added bonus of lasagna.
#5-Utica Tomato Pie: Since starting my blog, I’ve had an incredibly loyal following in Central NY (shoutout to Utica, Syracuse and all those in between). As a result, there was an influx of “Ask Erica” regarding this pizza-like dish. I think my recipe is on point and apparently so did you!
#4- Cauliflower Buffalo Wings: I mean…it’s like you’re eating fried, greasy buffalo wings, but it’s actually a healthy vegetable. No wonder why this dish made the top 5.
#3-Buffalo Chicken Riggies: Okay, so it’s clear buffalo was a trend this year! This spin on my classic (award winning) chicken riggie dish was clearly a hit! I might have to start thinking of other variations for 2015.
#2-Tangy Asian Slaw with Ramen: With ramen being so popular this year, it’s no wonder this dish is towards the top of the list. This slaw is the perfect side dish to any meal (not just Asian). I’m totally obsessed with it.
#1- Cauliflower Crust Pizza: Not only is this my #1 recipe of 2014, but it’s also been my #1 selling cooking class. This dish is easy to make and so unbelievably decadent, you will forget your eating low carb. Start the new year off with this recipe and you can be sure you’ll be stepping into 2015 on the right foot!
Well, that about wraps up 2014! I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store. Oh and please share…what was your favorite Everything Erica recipe this year?!
Love always,
Erica
