As many of you know, in addition to being a huge foodie, I am the self-proclaimed queen of technology.
I love checking out all the newest phone apps and when I find one that is food related, I enter this crazy state of excitement and feel the need to share it with everyone I know! Today, I am thrilled to share my newest app obsession. This time, the app that caught my attention is called Instacart.
Instacart is essentially a personal shopping and grocery delivery service that can get your goods to you in as little as an hour. In Chicago, the shoppers can order from:
- Whole Foods Market
- Mariano’s
- Jewl-Osco,
- Stanley’s
- Costco (and you don’t need a membership card!)
Here are 3 Reasons why you need to get an Instacart account right now:
1) You can price compare your favorite products. Yes, you heard me right. You can literally go back and fourth between multiple stores to find the best prices on your groceries.
For example, I always buy Organic Valley eggs and when searching between Whole Foods and Mariano’s, I saw I could actually get them cheaper from Whole Foods!
2) You can order from multiple stores. This feature is great for me because I always find myself in a dilemma when I’m out grocery shopping. For example, I personally feel that Whole Foods has the best produce (and worth the price premium), but I know their pricing is a little higher on some of the standard pre-packaged goods.
