My (Sort-Of) Brush with Hollywood

I’m going to confess something that MOST people don’t know about me (not even my close friends). Why am I telling you this? I think it’s time to let my readers get to know me just a little bit better. So here it goes…

Confession: At one (okay, two) points in my life, I’ve tried to“make it” on television (specifically with audition to be on Masterchef and an “unnamed” NBC cooking show). Although I didn’t make it too far with Masterchef, (they tried to sell me on a story-line about how my parents are unsupportive), I made it a little further with the NBC cooking show.

I think by law I’m not allowed to discuss the application process with the “unnamed cooking show” (even thought I didn’t make it on), but I can share the audition video they asked me to make to show the NBC network execs. I actually made it pretty far in the process and the last step was pitching me to the “big guys”.

Basically, they wanted to get an idea of who I was and then see me cook. They asked me to choose my best dish. At the time I chose Mac and Cheese. I apologize in advance for how quickly I talk. If you don’t care about the “getting to know me part” skip to 1:45 to see me start cooking. 🙂
