I recently attended an event that had so many incredible food and beer pairings that I decided to to create my own! The result is this beer battered fish and chips with an orange tartar sauce (instead of the traditional lemon). It pairs PERFECTLY with Blue Moon (which is brewed with orange peel), but you could use any beer! This recipe is enough for 4 people & will definitely be a hit for football season!

Ingredients
Fish
- 24 oz Cod separated into 6 oz portions
- Flour seasoned with salt, pepper, cumin and chili powder
- 5 oz Beer
- 2 Eggs
Orange Tartar Sauce
- 1/2 cup 0% Greek Yogurt
- 1/4 cup Dill Pickles finely diced
- 1 tbsp Pickle Juice
- 1 tbsp Orange Juice
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Fresh Dill
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
Instructions
- Take your cod and dredge them in in your flour mixture, then into a mixture of your favorite beer and eggs. Then back into the flour mixture.
- Spray fish with oil on both sides and air fry for 10 min at 400 degrees flipping half way.
- Make the tartar sauce by combining all of the listed ingredients on the Tartar Sauce list. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Serve it along side your favorite fries. I love the crinkle cut. They air fry in just 15 min at 400 degrees!
I feel like this compares to any fish and chips I’ve had and I cannot wait to see you all make it! It’s absolutely delicious AND it was my first time cooking fish in the air fryer! More to come for sure!
Love always,
Erica
