There is nothing I love more than grilling outside during the summer. With my husband being a vegetarian, it’s really difficult to find satisfying meals that I can throw on the grill for him. Recently, I discovered the most simple flatbread pizza dough that you can easily throw on the outdoor grill, grill pan or even bake in your oven.
The best part at all? The flatbread is only 3 ingredients (water doesn’t count) and I bet you have every single one in your pantry right now.
EASY 3 Ingredient Flatbread Pizza Dough
This flatbread recipe is only 3 ingredients (water doesn’t count) and I bet you have every single one in your pantry right now!

Total Time50 mins
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups All Purpose Flour or Whole Wheat Flour plus more for the work surface
- 3/4 cups Water you may not use it all
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil plus more for grilling
- 1 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Combine the flour, olive oil and salt together in a bowl with a fork. Slowly start adding the water and mix it in. Once it starts to come together, stop pouring the water and use your hand to get it all combined. It will be super sticky.
- Once fully combined, put your dough on a floured work surface and start kneeding it for about 5 minutes. Again, it will feel super sticky, but the more you kneed, the less it will feel sticky. You know its done when it’s smooth and elastic. Form it into a ball and place in a clean, oiled bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
- Roll out the dough to the desired size and thickness. If you’re grilling the flatbread, brush one side with olive oil and place it greased side down on a hot grill. While that side is grilling, brush the other side with olive oil.
- When the first side of the flatbread is cooked, flip it over and grill the other side. While that side is grilling, place your desired toppings on the pizza and close the lid for a few minutes until toppings are melted and other side is grilled.Side note: If you’re using a grill pan, grill the flatbread just as you would on the outside grill except don’t top it. Once both sides are grilled, top it and put it under your oven’s broiler for 3-5 minutes or until toppings are melted.
How easy and delicious does this flatbread sound? I know what I’m having for dinner this weekend!!
Love always,
Erica
