Lately, I’ve been hearing so much hype around using cauliflower to make “cauliflower buffalo wings”. The thought of it didn’t really make sense (I mean how can cauliflower substitute a juicy chicken wing), but I thought I would give them a try.
The whole idea of making them started when we invited a few people over to watch the Colorado football game (that’s where Dan went to school), and 3 out of the 5 guests were vegetarians! I wanted to do something fun and unique and thought that it could potentially be really yummy! Well, I’m so glad I ended up making these cauliflower buffalo wings, because they are D-E-LICIOUS!
This recipe is super simple and a must try!
Cauliflower Buffalo Wings
Ingredients
- 1 head Cauliflower chopped into bite size piece
- ½ cup Flour or brown rice flour to keep it gluten free
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 3/4 cup Milk
- Cooking Spray
- 1 tbsp Butter melted
- ½ cup Frank’s Red Hot buffalo Sauce
- Blue Cheese Crumbles
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 450 degrees. Mix up your flour, milk, garlic powder, salt & pepper and make a batter.
- Dip your cauliflower and allow the extra batter to drip off. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and spray the cauliflower with cooking spray before baking them for about 20 minutes.
- While the cauliflower is baking, mix together your melted butter with your buffalo sauce.
- When the cauliflower buffalo wings are done in the oven, toss it together with your sauce and then top with fresh, crumbly blue cheese!
Super simple! So…who is making these cauliflower buffalo wings tonight?
Love always,
